Local 802 protects performing and recording musicians, including players, conductors, arrangers and copyists in NYC. They claim to represent arrangers but they don't really. And they don't definitely don't represent music directors.

The American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC) promotes the art of Music Arranging, Composition, Orchestration, & Music Preparation. It is a growing community with members around the world. I've been involved in some terrific video events, especially during Covid. You can find those and more on their website.
